Every
Friday evening Tom drives his lilac bus from Dublin to Rathdoon,
carrying five very different passengers. There is Judy, who runs a
health food shop in Dublin and has a little country cottage in the
grounds of the big house in which she once lived; Dee is a bright
attractive law student carrying on a doomed affair in Dublin with
a married doctor; mean Nancy Morris who works for the doctor and
drives her flatmate mad with her petty ways; Celia works as a
nurse in Dublin and comes home every weekend to help her drunken
mother to run the family pub and Mikey a bank clerk in Dublin and
an eternal bachelor.
Each of the
characters have come to a cross road inhis or her life, and this
charming film tells their interwoven stories.

Maeve Binchy's best-selling novel, by Stuart Connaughton.
