Sometimes the lives of the stars are as illuminating behind the scenes as they are in front of the camera.

In fact Mel Wexler, the successful producer of the glossy new TV drama 'Manhattan' is just about the only person on the set without some deep hidden secret. However, he and the show's star Sabina Quarles are becoming quite a hot item.

While the rest of the cast know nothing about the hot and heavy passion play between the leading lady and the producer, their own secrets are difficult to hide. Former soap opera queen Jane Adams reluctantly accepts a plum role in Manhattan, knowing full-well she risks the physical wrath of her violent and jealous husband. Her on-screen romance with co-star Zack Taylor quickly turns into a torrid off-screen affair. Sex-symbol Bill Warwick is perhaps the most tragic of all the cast members. Just when he lands his first major role, Warwick is charged with the murder of his drug-addicted wife.

Amidst all the controversy and cover-ups, the show must go on... but will it?
